Classical osteopathy considers both soft tissue (fascia, muscles, tendons) and hard tissues (bones, ligaments), while also paying attention to the nerves, arteries, veins and lymphatics in the area, and also has consideration for what is happening on the visceral level. With a knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics, osteopaths use just their hands to figure out what isn't functioning normally, and then use gentle manipulations to get the body back into alignment so that it can self heal and regulate. **Treatments are reimbursable by benefits plans that include coverage for treatment by an OOA-licensed Osteopathic Manual Therapist.
